I never said cable was better. I was just saying satellite plays dirty too with the fees.

Why is it Satellite tv contracts and fees are the worst? Seems like they both try to come up with new ways to screw over the consumer. However when I use to have dish, the DIRT team here definitely was a big help.

Wow, I am glad I dumped dish in the beginning of january 2013, january 2014 will be a full year since I had pay tv. I have been using OTA. They all get greedier and greedier every year, I wonder how much churn they get?

Yep I am getting bit by that nasty fee too. Got the box today, and dumped it off.

Hopefully they redo the packages, the value doesn't increase with the same old ones. Even though I just cancelled today, I'd be happy to come back in the future.

Or can I contact the Dirt team here to take care of that? Went through my timers, found out that most of the watched programs are on network tv, the other ones I can go to the channel website and watch.

While a lot of what you say makes sense. However the way I think the tv industry works, is gouge gouge gouge. The tv industry is scared to think outside of the box, there will be a point where people say enough is enough, but I am not quite convinced on that one.

If you want to insult me that's up to you....But anyways, my rant is lost on quite a few here. Who's it going to hurt if they offer it a la carte? Diy network is only hurting themselves if they won't offer it any other way.

I am serious, why should I go from 60 bucks to 90 something bucks for ONE channel that I want? Anything not on the 120 tier should be available on a la carte plain and simple. I guess a person could wait til they decide to put it on the diy website which is not kept up to date.

If dish is going to be greedy, and put certain popular channels on higher tiers, then offer it as a la carte! I would be willing to pay 5 bucks for the DIY network. Or else no one gets my money at all!

Put Diy Network on Top 120 or A La Carte

Diy network is on free preview. However I refuse to pay an extra 30 something bucks just to get DIY network, I think its really stupid to have it on the top tier, maybe put it on ala carte. Edit: Anything lower then 120 is junk filler, the smart pack has a few channels I want, but...

A 300% rate increase for a broadcast channel!? They are nuts! Maybe for cable tv channels, but not broadcast!

Gannet destroys everything they touch, they are have destroyed there newspaper branch and alienated there customer base, the forced fakebook switch, you have to sub to use the local news forums, complaints about the slowness of the online digital paper, delivery issues. Yeah just go away...
