DISH Hacked - Websites are BACK ONLINE!

Dish Anywhere Login to Wrong Account?

I just called Dish about a separate DA issue (can't use Chat) and mentioned this problem to them, and they took note. Hopefully they will look into it. BTW, my issue was when I connected to DA from Chrome on W10 (or Firefox/Edge), it would immediately throw an overlay asking to choose my...

Dish Anywhere Login to Wrong Account?

This has happened to me numerous times. In my case, it happens when I resume from sleep (W10 & Chrome) and occasionally my time is not in sync. It is possible DA is simply reusing the previous authentication token which is now in use by someone else. DA relying on the local clock being...

    Next Generation Hopper

H3 has been a pretty solid platform. A case could be made for using newer hardware components that are faster and energy efficient--as long as it is not at the expense of reliability. Moving to SSD would be great for power consumption, but the speed benefits would not be as noticeable as on a...

Are the wireless Joey's really this bad?

I had intermittent disconnects, freezes, and unlinks when I first got my H3/WJ setup. I moved the WAP away and higher from the H3 which made enough of a difference (I have steel interior studs in my house). Re-linking was a pain and seem to be hit-or-miss, with sometimes it self-resolving...

    Autoplay Issues

This is a feature I have been using for years and have been frustrated with for quite some time now since the UI/H3 change. There are several threads already on autoplay issues, but they go back almost three years and are all unresolved. You cannot sort by episode to play the oldest first. For...

    New DISHANYWHERE Player Discussion

Modern day browsers nowadays cache every front end resource like javascript or CSS style sheets. They primarily do this to increase the website performance. But this can be really irritating while one is in development mode and constantly modifying the javascript or css style sheets. The only...

    New DISHANYWHERE Player Discussion

I didn't want to hijack the other thread which was started concerning the old player. First, glad to see the move to modern technology for streaming--kudos. Looks nice, too. However, there are a few features of the legacy player that are already missed. The first, and most...

Phone Scammers Posing as Dish Reps

Just an FYI that I received a call from scammers wanting to provide 'upgrades' to the software on my H3's. The caller ID even showed Dish's phone number. I played along for a bit (like the 'Microsoft Support' scam) because it is entertaining and informative (will now let F&F who have Dish know...

Dish Anywhere is great, unless your phone runs Windows.

I absolutely love the Windows Phone interface. It is more intuitive, informative (live tiles), and configurable. Sadly, even Microsoft is producing apps for iPhone/Android that aren't available on their own platform (especially their Microsoft Research aka Skunk Works dept.). I am hoping that...

Did my Hopper used up my allow data on my ISP's cap.

Just checked and there is nothing in Setup or Tests|Counters with the bandwidth utilization (it is available in any network stack--although that would include internal traffic). A data utilization warning is probably a feature which should be added.

    Kudos to Dish

A few things have impressed me with Dish lately. First, I never thought any provider would include a Netflix in their core hardware. This is truly fantastic and a brilliant move. The HWS is just a terrific piece of hardware. The second has to do with an email I received this morning (which...

Dish Telemarketing Violations May Cost Them Billions in Fines

    Joey Slow Lately

Temps are dropping. Is your Duo Node outside? The first batch failed in cold weather. The replacement worked--but does get slower as the temp drops. (I thought electricity traveled faster as it got colder.) http://www.satelliteguys.us/xen/threads/cold-weather-issue.299350
