    Multiple Local Markets

Trying to figure out if there is a difference between direct and dish when it comes to delivering two different local channel markets to one household. When on direct's website, and punch in my zip code of 54759 I says I would get minneapolis and lacrosse locals, but when I do the same on...

    Dish Network "Chat" Question

Exactly what changes can you make to your Dish account using their 'chat' feature on-line? I know you can change certain things yourself on-line, but I'm not sure about chatting with a CSR. Any thoughts?

A message on behalf of techs to customers

I'm sure I'm the minority here. Around 1985, without any help from the internet or anyone else, I installed my first BUD. My only resource was the public library. It took awhile but the satifaction I felt when the job was finally done was fantastic. Since then, I've done several installs for...

Finally Madison HD (at least 1)

I also noticed, that the SD locals must now be retransmitted in digital vs. analog......no more fuzzy, ghosting on WISC.

Finally Madison HD (at least 1)

Spence, you're right on. You will need a wing dish for 61.5 or the new dish that sees 72 and 61. I installed a wing dish with no problems at all. I get most of my HD content on that bird as well. And again, as of now the only local HD channel we are getting is WMSN. On my guide it's listed at...

Finally Madison HD (at least 1)

Dish finally lit up Madison for HD. Well, acutally they (E*) seem to be taking 'baby steps,' as I'm only getting Fox, but since the Pack is on there a majority of the time, I can wait for the other 3. Thanks to the DigiSAT uplink report for giving me the "heads-up" to check my guide. I had...

    61.5 and their tp's?

Because my signals on 129 were rotten, I reaimed at 61.5. Now my HD signals are off the chart. I ran through all the tp's on 61.5 and now have a question. On tp3 instead of locking on 61.5, my 722 showed 'wrong satellite' 77. Is the 77 bird replacing 61.5. Also, on the 110 satellite, each...

    722 TV1 output question

Just got this receiver....here's the question. Current setup TV1 out (hdmi) to plasma. TV2 out (rg6) to 2nd TV. Can I somehow get the TV1 signal to a 3rd TV in another location in the house via my in-home cable wiring system short of buying a wireless video sender?

    1000.2 with wing for 129?

Here's my dilema. I've recently upgraded to a 722 with a dish 100.2. However, no matter how much I tweak the dish, I still have issues with signal strength for 129. My question is, if I connect a wing dish just for 129 using port #4 on the dish 100.2, will that override the 129 lnb on the...

Court Orders Dish to Drop ALL Distant Networks

I'd love to see this turn into a jury trial. Judging by the number of views of this post that's only a day old, the prosecution wouldn't stand a chance. The jury would take about 15 minutes to aquit!

30" dish for 129-anyone using one?

I used an old P* dish with an old legacy lnb and I'm getting signals in the 80's. I just zip-tied the lnb to the arm of the dish....works dandy.

? on out of market local

I thought the spot beams were configured in such a way as to not interfere with other spots. The FCC forced a 'one-dish' solution for locals and E* was forced to build new spot-beam sats. to be able to comply, it had nothing to do with the FCC worried about people 'moving.'

? on out of market local

I think E* will have to 'tweak' there spotbeams somewhat, as I've read several complaints from posters that their local market transponder signal levels are in the 50's..........talk about rain fade issues!

Explain to me the service fee - no telephone

The only way E* will cancel their 'extra' fees is if enough people quit buying their receivers with the fees attached. A few emails to them or letters to your State's 'top cops' will be futile at best.
