I'm thinking about cancelling and turning my owned Dishnet equipment (still hooked up) back on for a month and hope Directv calls me offering me to come back as a new customer! Will they Call?

It seems like when i'm thumbing through the guide using the up or down arrow, going through each channel listing one at a time, as i approach one of the banner channels the guide then skips four or five channels and i have to then thumb back to the ones that were skipped. I don't think it did...

How is it choosing which programs to record automatically? If that indeed is whats going on? Hmm. I just tried the feature and it kind of looks like it's "on demand" pulled from the net.

Isn't the HD fee waived with autopay?

Yeah, that's what it's costing me right now. But, i think the first year was free, the second year was discounted. Now it's $25 a month. I guess they call it "advanced receiver fee". Ridiculous!!!!

Yeah, $30 for 7 yrs is a steal! The gigabit and tv package for $120 isn't bad either. It looks like additional boxes are leased for $5 or bought outright for $120. I wonder if they are all DVR capable using the cloud as storage instead of having physical hard drives?

I could probably live with them waiving the whole home dvr fee, advanced receiver fee or whatever they call it. Hd has been free since i'm auto pay! I have ultra, HBO, Max. Order a PPV once or twice a month. Never late!

Spoke too soon. The problem is back! This time i think it has something to do with the Onkyo receiver getting stuck on HDMI and not detecting the coaxial input when switching to cable/sat. But, if i turn off the game port HDMI pass through it seems to work! Maybe i need to update the firmware...

Update: Hit the little red button on the HR34 and my digital audio is now back!

Mine seemed to quit working. Don't know if it's the DVR or my AVR. Looks like the DVR took an update on the 29th! Anybody out there still using the old coaxial for 5.1 with a HR34 that could confirm if it's working or not? Thanks

I think the guy in the link that raoul5778 posted is using a 6 or 9ft off-set dish!

Another question, Which MAx channel did we lose!? Was it "outermax"? If so they should have left it alone and added the latino max! Instead of taking away! And doesn't Max know most people only subscribe to their channel for the late night skin flix!:D

That sucks! Oh well, i usually swap back and forth between whatever's on sale (promotion buy 1 get 1 free)! Whether it's Starz and SHO or HBO, Max!
