Like I have said many times before, if it was shot with film it is more than HD(not digital like UFC, A lot of DISCOVERY) anything that is shot with a VIDEO CAMERA must be shot in HD to remain HD but if shot with a FILM CAMERA (Pavavision mostly) (which most shows and all movies are shot with)...

I am a big fan of the show Becker and I thought it would be a long time before anyone would show it in HD but USA runs episodes in HD late at night and about 8:00 in the morning. I won't be awake for all but I will record a lot. I love this show!!!

Universal HD has always sucked. They don't even run programs in Dolby Digital. They send the DD signal but it is only stereo and it sound pathetic. I never hardly watched it and will never pay for it!!

I watch Nip Tuck and movies on FX and I NEVER have a problem with it. It is always GREAT AUDIO AND GREAT VIDEO!!! Sooo.... I don't know what to tell you?!?!?!?

I was wondering if anyone knew when the HR 21 DVR will be receiving the on demand. Currently only the HR 20 models are part of the beta. If anyone knows please let me know.:hungry:

I mean you got to think about this, were these providers ready to go HD? Spike TV did not have any plans to go HD until 2008. That is why you won't see Dolby Digital on those channels, the providers are not ready yet. Hopefully Directv doing this speeds things up and Spike goes sooner...

It doesn't matter when they were produced, it matters how. If they can make 1992 Law and Order in HD (TNT), well then there is a lot that can be. I do think it is pathetic that tbs has only given out 1 hour of HD since baseball!!! Everything else they just stretch their regular signal. Next...

Right now TBS has finally not stretched a show like everything else. It is Frank Caliendo stand up. It isn't the best HD but its' better then what they have been doing. Maybe we will see some more soon......MAYBE...

Actually those are the only two movies that they don't mess with. I saw Titanic and the Wizard of Oz a long time ago (almost a year maybe) on there so don't expect any more. I would be shocked if they did.

It was great. Sound and video were excellent!!! Yes there were lines going on during some commericals but never during the show. I can't wait for the rest of the season.

FX HD has finally started their hd programming. Elektra is on right now and the sound and video is GREAT!!!! I can't wait until 10:00 for Nip Tuck...:hungry:

FX HD is finally going to start pumping out some hd programming. It will start on Tuesday!!!! I figured this would happen the fact that Nip Tuck starts then. I looked in the guide and they are showing a couple hd movies first then the premier of NIP TUCK!!! I can't wait!!!!:hungry:

I honestly don't know why it doesn't upconvert the hdmi, it just has the hdmi pass through. Thats confusing. Trust me if you try it with some good component cables, go through the menus and get it to upconvert it, then send it to your tv with a good hdmi, :clapyou will be happy as hell.

Also using the component to the receiver has better quality then putting hdmi straight throught it (that keeps it at 1080i)

uhhh... Sorry. If you use component, it does. I got monster ultra series component to the receiver, upconverts to 1080p, then sends it through monster ultra series hdmi. TRUST ME it does. Try that and look at your tv, its 1080p and it will even say it is.
