Different local channels & sports channels question

Indeed. There isn't a CT zipcode that allows for all Boston and NY RSN's. Trust me. I looked. :)

    “Moving” new strategy or tips?

The last time i did anything on my account, i found the "chat" feature was more efficient than calling. If "moving" goes away, so does my DirecTV service. it's a no brainer in my market.

"March Madness" 4K (though i doubt it)

He's basing this on the graphic on the page, and he's likely wrong.

"March Madness" 4K (though i doubt it)

I'm just trying to guess how they could advertise it through the end of the month. I can't come up with anything...

"March Madness" 4K (though i doubt it)

    New OTA adapter

Has anyone tried a non-LCC USB OTA dongle? I don't have one handy, but probably have one in the back of a box. I'm just wondering if there is anything "special" on the LCC that identifies it.

New Guide UI now rolling out (plus HDR support!)

If they're pushed without user action, they're a national release. Best rule of thumb - if a rollback isn't possible, it's a national release.

    World Cup in 4K?

I'm only interested because this may open the door to 4K NFL on FOX, instead of 720p swimming grass-o-vision...

    World Cup in 4K?

It would help if DirecTV would even occasionally update their 4K schedule on their website.

    Getting 4K HDR

The DirecTV HDR check, as of right now, still checks for HDR10, *not* HLG.

DIRECTV to Air Blue Planet II In 4K

Not seeing this on my DVR guide, nor the online one. Getting worried!

New Guide UI now rolling out (plus HDR support!)

Err one doesn't have anything to with other. The HR54 can run c61ks. If D* tries to force people with either HR54's or RVU's into HS17's/C61k's just for HDR, they're going to have a lot of unhappy customers. I'll be one of them.

Who said anything about a C61K? :) (It's still an open question if RVU will work here - it had better!)

Where is the 2017 4K sports content?

    I'll take a UConn women's game in 4K! :)

Where is the 2017 4K sports content?

...because i am inundated with ads telling me things like: "plan a 4k date night" "all your friends are coming over" "blah blah blah" ...that link to that page. it's just a sign of the rudderless ship D* is becoming under ATT.

Where is the 2017 4K sports content?

Nice - DirecTV has let this lapse completely again - the page in question has no upcoming 4K.

Great, I'll have doc and marty record it for me :)

New Guide UI now rolling out (plus HDR support!)

Hmmm - bad news all around. I'll wait until i can record a 4K event that's confirmed in HDR, and see what happens. I like my clean RVU install, but not at the cost of functionality.

New Guide UI now rolling out (plus HDR support!)

only if D* presents HDR to the RVU client in the first place...

New Guide UI now rolling out (plus HDR support!)

Scott Greczkowski - any word on RVU HDR support with this rollout? Menu visible on the clients, but nothing on RVU...

New Guide UI now rolling out (plus HDR support!)

I could live with it, if: 1) It weren't so laggy (supposedly newer releases have helped this) 2) "All channels" recording for series links worked, or links on a single station were easier to make work.

New Guide UI now rolling out (plus HDR support!)

Hmmm - might we have a rollback? There is an 0xfee in the occasional stream now, and it's the old GUI.

Looks like this is "rolling out" now. God help us.

    Help with a Tailgate setup

This is the correct answer. Save yourself the trouble and get a SWM LNB. yes, you need to plug in the power inserter at the tailgate, but it's worth it in ease of setup.
