    The weight of the snow on the bottom portion of the dish will also cause it to loose signal quality and most likely the reason you lost your stations, very similar to when you tweak the dish. If you pull down on the dish or push up the signal and quality will change.

    One note on the audio problem mentioned earlier. If you have a dolby digital 5.1 surround system check the back of the receiver and see if you have a spdif in. If you have an spdif out on your satellite receiver you can run a cable in between and that will give you audio on the PBS stations.
