Trees... You can't get a signal through a tree....but if you can move one way or the other, the signal will go BESIDE the tree. You only need a hole the size of your dish (and your dish in EXACTLY the right place) to get the signal from one satellite. (bigger hole [clear area]=easier aiming)...

Warranty... If it is still in warranty, get the seller to exchange it or the manufacturer to fix it. Much less risky than fixing it yourself. Self-repair IS risky. Don't blow a warranty by trying to fix it. Take this from someone who has fixed things like this for a living. BTW...
