If you have LOS east of 61W their are some FTA signals that require a universal for the low band

Make sure the DiseqC position saved is 0 before you switch from USALS to DiseqC otherwise the motor will automatically start moving to the saved position without you realizing what is going on.

This isn't exactly FTA but if you have room for a 6 foot Cband dish you could check out Skyvision they have lower cost cable type programing you have mentioned and you could also use the dish for FTA. Good luck. Skyvision Satellite Equipment

I believe that they are married just like Dish/Bev receivers. I do know that they will not authorize any receiver but their own.
