Thanks. I think I'll just leave it alone. I mostly watch the G10R anyway.

    captiveworks software

I was reading some of the posts the other day, and someone mentioned loading the Kround. I've never hooked up my computer to my box. Should I do it? What will be the benefit of loading that software?

Do you have a separate dish for G10?

how is it? Nope...can only afford a motorized dish right now. But, how do you like that T90? I was thinking about getting that one instead of the motor, but I couldn't find anyone to tell me anything definitive about it. You know, I was the one asking about what you could get with a small dish...

    dishes and lnbs....

I have a question.... If I were going to try some used dishes for fta, 1. would they work? 2. which would be the best? How about lnbs from old primestar, dish or dtv? Are they good for anything?

    Protection from lightning

In case you are going to rework, you can use dual rg6 (3mhz swept is the new stuff)--it has a #17 ground built onto it. Go from your ground block (you MUST have one) with #10. Preferable grounds are in order: 1. house common electrical ground 2. air conditioning main cutoff 3. cold water pipe 4...

    CaptiveWorks CW-600S Premium vs. Viewsat/Coolsat?

Well, don't be afraid that you made the wrong decision about your Captiveworks. I like mine just fine, it's easy to use, has a couple of quirks (but what's perfect?). I bought it because I was a "newbie" and just wanted to watch some TV, doggonit!

    PBS on 87W

Thanks. I had to reread your posts a couple of times to figure out what you were talking about, but I got it now. I'll have to go shopping!

    time for a stupid question....

I have noticed on some websites that some receivers are advertised with built in Digicipher2. Is that true? Are there receivers out there that can pick up the fta listed channels that are digiciipher?

    CaptiveWorks CW-600S Premium vs. Viewsat/Coolsat?

Just to add my two cents to the discussion... I have a Captiveworks 600 premium. It took me about three weeks to get the DISH lined up, because I basically didn't know what I was doing. Once I got it dialed in, I haven't had any problems with this unit. Of course, I only have this one, and...

    PBS on 87W

Those three PBS channels on tp 12110 on 87W..... I'm getting a great picture with only a 24 quality, but I get no audio on my Captiveworks 600 premium. I tried to put in the audio numbers in manual, but nothing.... Any suggestions?

    Galaxy 16

Oh...... Guess that makes me a moron--it looked to me on Lyngsat that it was clear. If it's digicipher, what does that mean?

Can anyone get the American Life TV on tp 5 ?

    Galaxy 10R

Well, I did some research last night on the Intelsat website, no real help there (but I like the looks of their new website). I went to manual scan, and honestly can't tell you what I did, but now I have transponder 1. So...who knows?

    Galaxy 10R

That's exactly what I entered, and nothing. I get the rest of the satellite just fine. I'm getting 48 quality and 85 strength.

    Galaxy 10R

P.S...... I tried to add the transponder on the "edit" list (CaptiveWorks 600S Premium), and then autoscanned, then blindscanned, and ---still got everything else, but not tp 1.

    Galaxy 10R

I was sorting out my channels, and comparing Lyngsat with the list on gosatellite.com. Found I was missing everything from transponder 1 on Galaxy 10R (123W). Any suggestions?

    The waiting is over...

I've been reading this forum for a couple of months, and bought a system about a month ago.....(Captiveworks 600s Premium, Fortec .9 meter dish, HH90 motor, Invacom quad Lnbf). I got a stand from a convenience store, which was damaged during Hurricane Rita. The dish was shot but the stand was...

    New! Captiveworks 600 Premium system

No, I didn't try it without the motor. Had to engineer the clamps to fit on the center pole, so it's pretty much on their for good. My question about the Captiveworks is how you "acquire" and "store" satellites. That receiver seems pretty much automatic to me. I suppose I could take the motor...

    New! Captiveworks 600 Premium system

Hi... I'm new to the forum, although I've been reading it for a couple of months. Now, I've bought a Captiveworks 600 Premium receiver, Stab hh90 motor, Fortec Star 90 cm dish, and an Invacom quad lnbf, and a switch. Mounted the dish on a big metal satellite stand that came off of the roof of a...
