I like Fox rochester but the audio has been a liitle wiggy on the SD channel...sometimes the audio goes up and down and for some rason judge joe is always out of sinc but I think that may be a judge joe probelm becouse I have notised it on other channels....I can handle most any audio problem...

On the set up i had in Georgia I used 2 36" dishes (option 4) and also had a 75E on my second reciever and the 2 dish option was far superior. We have some heavy rains in georgia and the 75E would go out for long periods of time and 2 dish set up almost never goes out only in the strongest rains...

when I got my 505 a few weeks ago it took 24 hours to download the new sortware, it downloaded it overnight when I had it turned off. I'm sure the 530 is much the same as the 505

Also I have heard that some people are having a hard time getting a good signal in California on the new HD channels with the eliptical (you would need the 75E dish in Ca though if you decided to go with that)...I dont know if this will change or not in the future.

what channels are you looking for? if they are c-band you would need a large dish (4' or bigger & 4 may be too small so don't quote me on that) and ku would require a smaller (minimum 30" dish). I am in the south so I can't speak to channel availibility but i would think that you would be able...
