That's how it worked for the bad dehumidifier I bought on Amazon. Had to cut off 12" of the plug-end of the power cord, peel off the model number/serial number sticker and send both to the warranty place. Got a full refund.

They were probably using dual LNBF's that had too much gain. The signal overload blew the arm right off the dish!

Forget the eBay system! Go with Fat Air's suggestion. What is the condition of the weather boot on the actuator? Is the boot clamped tight to the tube? If water is getting in the tube and freezing, that would be the cause of your problem.

You ain't seen nothing yet! I'm in the process of ordering parts for a major 'vbox' upgrade. "Lipstick on a pig." "Throwing good money after bad." I know. I know.

For the 'vbox' heat issue - drill some holes in the case. Also, painting the vbox red will increase its performance by approximately 15%.
