Sorry folks i got it wrong. Not having a satellite above my North position,i concentrated on the nearest satellite to it i.e. 1 deg West with an elevation of 44.A true north satellite will have an elevation of 50.By adjusting the main axis to 40 and the declination to 2 i am managing to track...

Tracking Clarke Belt I am in the Cape,South Africa.Lat 34,4. When tracking declination 42,elevation 40 and bar holding actuator looking up 50. Chart of angles at 35 degrees gives elevation of 35 and declination as 40,hence the 5 i refer to.

I am tracking the Clarke belt in the Southern Hemisphere from 78,5 East to 24,5 West .My latitude being 35 with declination of 2 (should be 5) elevation of 40 and dish elevation of 50.I have no near satellite true north the nearest being on my left 34 degrees away and on my right 53 degrees...

Can one ignore the declination angle setting and add it onto the elevation angle when doing the settings at one,s location.

LNB servo motor wires. Sorry,i meant LNB.I am of the impression that you can not connect servo motor wires to the most recent receivers.Is there a way around this other than to purchase a LNBF.

LNB servo motor wires. Thanks for the response.My dish is moving.Does it follow that there is no way that a LNBF with a servo motor can be used with a receiver,without a connecting port for the three wires.

LNB wiring Referring to my earlier post on this thread can someone please advise me the position with regard to the servo motor wires ,where there is not a connecting facility on the newer receivers.Also if the servo motor is removed will any current in the coax turn the skew.

LNB wiring As a matter of interest ,in the case of a moving system,using a receiver without a connecting jack for the servo motor wires,will the coax supply the power to move the skew.It follows that the three wires are not connected anywhere.

I have a 2.6M Paraclipse mesh dish and my understanding is that there is a 30% drop in KU signal quality, when compared to a solid dish.Is there anything i can do,other than switching to a solid dish?

Thanks Antaltmike.I am using a Prodelin 1.2M VSAT offset dish with a F/D of .8 I am receiving KU pictures using a .3db feed.The problem comes when i try to receive C band feeds using 20 degree C band LNBF.The signal is there but i dont seem to lock in.Are C band offset LNBF,s available?

How do one ascertain the difference if an offset is available.?On a KU offset dish what is the best way to determine the focal point of a C band LNBF.Thanks for any assistance.

Writing from South Africa I am receiving on NSS 7 at 22W,AFN with a quality of 40%(scrambled)CNN comes in at 23% with no picture.I am using a 20 degree LNBF and enquire whether i will get a picture should i get a 15 degree LNBF and also use a Conical Scalar Ring.Any assistance will be appreciated.
