Is it possible to connect the home distribution outputs from 2 722's together through a splitter that is feeding multiple tv's throughout the house so I can watch any of the 4 tv1 and tv2's after assigning 4 different air channels in the modulator setup?

seeing the 722 only has rca or hd cables for tv1 you would be hard pressed to get 4 different channels out of the 2 rcvr's...

I can do it on my 622. It all comes out of the same home distribution connection.

ummm, not so hard pressed really, seeing as the 722 can send TV1 and TV2 signals down the TV2 wire on different channel numbers all at the same time.........

what the OP is trying to do is fully doable with a little potential jacking around.

I recommend he also get a hold of a couple of spare 6.3 remotes and set up the TV1's as UHF also.

You are right in what you are saying, but I want to combine the 2 722 distribution outlets together to give the option to see all 4 modulated outputs (which will have 4 different air channels) on the remote tv's.

Have you been able to get a uhf remote to work on the 722's TV1? I have a 522 that doesn't seem to take anything but a I/R signal on TV1 without buying the kit that dish sells that converts UHF back to I/R to the front of the 522.

So all you need is a 2 way splitter and then different channels for all 4.

Is there a splitter that has 2 in and 1 out or could I hook a normal splitter up backwards?

dont know why hes telling you a 2 way splitter, in my eyes you need a 4-way. Ignore the markings on a simple splitter that say IN or OUT. All connections on a simple splitter are both an IN and an OUT. A simple splitter is like stripping all of your cables and twisting together all the wires.

A 722 can be set up for TV1 UHF if you can get a hold of 6.3 remotes, as I said above.

I was hoping that someone here has already tried what I am wanting to do since I am not 100% sure on the result of connecting the 2 outputs together.

I have a 625 and this threw me (and one Dish CSR) at first. Fortunately I found the correct answer on this forum in a locked thread on remotes. (Thanks Pepper!)

I bought two extra 6.0 remotes so that I could run TV1 as well as TV2 via UHF. But what I didn't understand at first was that 6.0 remotes have a two-position switch under the TV 1/2 key. This switch makes the remote IR-only, or UHF-only. Furthermore, the receiver and both remotes all ship already set to channel 1. The only thing that distinguishes the two remotes supplied with a 522 or 625 (on the receiver side) is the fact that they emit only IR or only UHF. The receiver TV1 settings include reception of UHF and IR both, but that can't change how 6.0 remotes operate.

Bottom line: get TV1 or TV2 off channel 1 before trying to switch TV1 into UHF/IR mode. Otherwise there will be a collision and you'll never get it to work.

A good quality splitter will have RF isolation between outputs. So, if you hook your modulated channels into the splitter using the out ports, you should only get good video from the In port. Connecting the two back fed TVs to the Out ports of that four way splitter should create high isolation and those TVs would have bad pics. Unless it's a real cheapo splitter, those things even pass voltage when they're not intended to do so.

OP's best option is to connect the two Home Distro ports to a backwards two-way splitter. Then, from the In port, connect that wire to a separate splitter for whole house distribution. Total splitter loss is about 7db with (2) two-way splitters, not bad.
B
Wouldn't it be simplier to use the video distribution hub as mentioned in an earlier post, especially if it amplified the signal?
C
This is how i set mine up

http://tech.dishnetwork.com/departmental_content/TechPortal/images/pdf/tech/DistributionExample6.pdf and how dish says to set it up.

note: This was originally drawn for the 942 which only modulated TV 2 but since the 622 & 722 Modulate both TV1 & TV2 you can do this and get all 4 tuners on the other tv's.

P.S. I got my Super Home Node from Claude at Dishstore.net

im aware of all that and forgive me if I simplified it too much.

We use what we are given - cheapo skywalker 1-in 2 out splitters. I have made them work SOMETIMES. Other times a powered amp distribution is the only fix. I know its physics and all but you cant deny the touch of black magic and the FORCING IT to work that can go into all of this.

Theres one thing I hate and thats being beat by a brainless machine.

Sometimes a thread gets so many posts in it that is can cause issues for the server so that why today we introduce The Song Name Game Part 3!

So let the game continue!

The last song was added by Bobby who posted...

One Meat Ball - Andrews Sisters

CONTINUE ON AND HAVE FUN! WELCOME HOME TO SATELLITEGUYS.US!

Here are the original rules for the game as posted by WebbyDude back in 2006. http://www.satelliteguys.us/threads/68645-Song-Name-Game

Just name a song title and the band who performed it. The next person does the same thing, but needs to list a song title or band name which includes a word from the previous entry. Pick songs from any genre.

Example:

Long Live Rock and Roll -- Rainbow

Rainbow in the Dark -- Dio

Another example:

Ride the Lightning -- Metallica

Lightning Strikes -- Ozzy Osbourne

Get it?

An additional note: we all know that song titles, sometimes, use profane words. Because this is a family friendly website it is advised that you clean up that title up a bit. This is accomplished by using something like sh!t instead of the real word. Thanks....

Pissed off at the crappy healthcare costs

My health Insurance renewal for 2027 just came in. Going from $827 a month to $1,187 a month. Deductible going up a $1k to $9,350. Max out of pocket also going up $1k to $11,000. Doctor co-pay of $40. Urgent Care co-pay $50. ER 50% coinsurance after deductible. That's all in network. Out of network is double, should it be needed.

Have to think about this. I'm really tempted to just go without now. I only go to the doctor once or twice a year. I pay out of pocket for Tirzepitide and can do without the Rosuvastatin (crestor) now. Really tired of spending over $10k a year and getting nothing out of it.

After years with Blue Cross I switched last year to Ambetter as my Blue Cross premium was going from $1200 to $1800 for a Silver plan and the Bronze plan was still going to be $1300 at BCBS. Ambetter was $827 for the same coverage with a Bronze plan. Didn't think it would jump this much so soon.

I'm guessing a Silver plan is probably over $2,000 a month for 2027.

I didn't start it as a political statement and have no interest in the political BS of this country. Everyone wants to make everything political nowadays. This was just my rant over the outrageous increase in my premiums and how unaffordable healthcare is becoming to the average person here.

There are no dues to be paid to be in the Pit. You just have to use the password which is clearly shown when you try to log in to it.

I have Dish Hopper and Hopper Plus and also have Alexa Echo. I link the Alex skill to Dish and it asks me to enter the pairing code shown on the TV. I go into Dish Settings and there is no Alexa shown. Not sure what to do.

Understood. But here's the rub - Google Assistant setup is ALSO missing from the Hopper Plus setup. I'm a paraplegic.and need to use voice controls as much as possible but I can't press a button on the remote to activate Google Assistant. I prefer ALEXA (or ALEXA+) but I have one older google device and will go that route IF they make it available. BTW calling Dish Customer Service is no help- they just say they have no info on if/when there will be an update.

Tell Alexa verbally what to do.

I stand up from my chair with my glass in one hand and my plate in the other, when a story I really want to hear comes on the TV. So I say, "Alexa, pause DISH", and it waits for me to return from the kitchen, at which time I say, "Alexa, resume DISH".

Or maybe, when I return with a full glass in one hand and a new plate in the other, I realize I forgot to pause to hear this good story from its start. So I say, "Alexa, skip DISH backwards 3 minutes", and I still get to catch the whole story.

I use this every day. Or until I acquire a third hand.

It turns out I was justified in my suspicion.

Gavin Newsom somehow authorized the temporary move of the distribution date of the Winter blend to September 28th.

Does that raise, or lower, the overall price? Our State Government has been doing everything it can to minimize the impact of the current situation and put a freeze on the State Taxes on fuel sales at the pump. That's why we're still under $4.00/gal. while across the border in Michigan it's much higher.

Winter blend is reportedly 10-30 cents cheaper, but I would point out that prices have dropped as much as 62 cents at RP.
