G18
The way I find Galaxy 18 is the easiest way I know how...
I use my sat finder program, get the settings as close as possible for Skew, which for me is
something like this,
Elevation: 29.3°, way to low for me
Azimuth (true): 236.5°
Azimuth (mag.): 243.8° using Compass, not even close
LNB Skew: 42.2°, this is close to being correct...
Dish Skew: 90.0°
The Azimuth and Elevation is not even close for me for some reasons...even using a GPS and getting it right down to a degree...
What I do is Find 121 because it is easier and has a stronger transponder for me. Normally 121 is far easier to locate in my area...
Once I find 121, I drop the dish about 2 degrees and pan right very slowly, normally only a couple of degrees till I get a signal on my meter. Once I do that, I Blind Scan, Power Scan or whatever you want to call it... Normally then it's just a manner of peaking for best "Q"
If you can find 119 or 110 then you are close just remember that...
You are only just a few degrees away from 123...Its just a matter to keep in mind, in my area, 119 is higher in elevation so I have to drop a degree or so with each pan...But by far 121 is the easiest to locate here and once that is found you are very close, or here you would be...
By no means am I an expert, I just know what works best for me and me alone...I do know what I've read and every thing I have read about locating Galaxy 18 suggests finding 121 first...
