I'm posting this in the hope that my experience with the VIP722 we have can help someone in the future.
We were TiVo users before we got our VIP722 from Dish. We used a wireless connection for the TiVo that was hooked up like this:
Cable Modem --> Hardware router/firewall --> Wireless access point ===== Wireless TiVo USB adapter --> TiVo DVR.
--> means wired connection, and ===== means wireless connection.
Our WAP is a NetGear WG602 and the wireless adapter for the TiVo is from TiVo.
When we got the VIP722, it seemed natural that I would have it connect with the Dish mothership via the Internet, as our TiVo has always done. I searched and found various threads on using a wireless game adapter or homeplug, but what we ended up doing was buying a second NetGear WG602, connecting them via the Wireless Point-To-Point Bridge configuration (with WEP security).
This is a great configuration for us, as our cable modem and home office is at the other end of the house from the TV room, and I was not willing to run 100' of Cat5 ethernet cable from my router to my VIP722. My WAP was in the same room as our cable modem, and the signal strength in the TV room was kind of iffy, due to distance and all the walls in-between.
Now, we're configured almost the same as before, but it works much better:
Cable Modem --> Hardware router/firewall --> Wireless access point ===== Wireless access point --> Dish DVR.
Now the wireless connection is a bridge between the two WAPs, which effectively extends my network's range by about 100 feet. It as though my VIP722 was connected to my router using Cat5 ethernet cable.
BTW, I would like to mention that I chatted online with at least two different DISH techs, both of who stated that it was impossible to connect the VIP722 to the Internet using any kind of wireless connection.

This should hit a lot of folks with a dose of reality. I can only imagine how much more common this will get as AI progresses.
I read several stories on this and most are clear as mud. They say a lot of the stolen bitcoin has been "locked out" and that everyone will be made financially whole. I guess time will tell if either of these statements are actually true.

After having continuing trouble with my eight+ year old Dell Inspiron laptop I am looking to hopefully catch a good deal on new one. My options to buy is Costco and Sam's Club. It seems like a lot of new laptops are 2 in 1 which I do not need. I use the laptop to mainly surf the web and keep up with my finances, money and bills. I would like to have at least a 15" screen and having a touchscreen is a plus. The keyboard would need to lighted also. I don't game any. It would have to be Windows instead of and not Mac. The brands I see the most are Asus, Dell and HP. My two last laptops has been Dell's. Of these brands are there any standouts over the other brands. My budget (hopefully) is $600+-. Also while researching I noticed that do not have ethernet ports.

Over the past few weeks, I have had problems connecting to streaming services (Netflix, HBO et al). When I go to the TV's native Channels, I have no problem. The Dish internet troubleshooter shows I have a good internet connection. I'm wondering whether it's an issue with my internet provider or a problem with the Dish software on the Hopper Plus. Anyone else seeing this?

So does this mean the churches and businesses that Dish owes back payments to are going to get paid now?
For some reason, the satelliteguys.us site is loading a lot slower than usual on both Chrome on my Asus laptop and Safari on my iPhone.
I'm also seeing longer appearances of the blue bar at the top and the "3 blue bars" loading symbol.
Is anyone else also having the same problem? Thanks in advance.

..I hate playing in Ames.
I hate playing in LA ...
Buckeyes had 2 weeks off and came out and looked absolutely terrible ... broke in a new Freshman Qb, but that wasn't the worst part ... undiscipline play, at last count they had 10 penalties.
Freshman in the end of the game trying to play catch up, had a lot of Over throws ... Bucks lose ...
#1 Miami struggled but pulled away in the end beating North Carolina by 3 ...
Tuesday the CFP brings out thier Playoff Top 12 again ... Buckeyes should drop from #2 to about #22 (they won't) had they had thier Starting QB, it would have been a different game ...
They could lose the rest of thier games at this point.
