Who cares...he makes golf interesting when he wins. If you wanna worry about whether he is father or husband of the year material, then knock yourself out.

There's the issue. Isn't this the first PGA season Eldrick has played that he didn't win a least one tournament??

Yes, and his lackadaisical performance on-the-course is most certainly attributed to his performance off-the-course (or intercourse for that matter). Personally, I actually "liked" Tiger Woods, or at least the image he presented to the public, prior to the time his shenanigans and monkey-shines were revealed. To be honest, I couldn't care less what he does in his private life---or that he got caught with his pants down (no pun intended)---but if you're going to lie & cheat...please, please, please don't play the Phoney Baloney, "I too am a victim" (sexaholic), holier than thou crappola card; it's a sham! and most people aren't that stupid. Heck, I wouldn't have thought much less of Tiger Woods had he had acted more like Charlie Sheen after getting caught - just "man up" and stop hiding behind your mother, your dead father, and a gaggle of Team Tiger publicists and image consultants. This latest image repair campaign is more proof that just he doesn't get it. ;)

Additionally, Tiger probably earns 50-times more through endorsements and similar business arrangements than he goes on Tour. After all, his fans didn't drive a Buick...lace-up a pair of Nike shoes and dawn other overpriced apparel...and guzzle some putrid sports drink because these products would make them win on tour - no, they purchased these products because Tiger endorsed them and people respected the man. Myth busted! Mr. Woods will never again reach Babe Ruth status because, unlike Tiger, the Babe was a genuine person. He was the best at his sport; he was warm and personable; he loved children...and he drank like a fish and chased more skirts than he ever hit home runs. And the fans loved him for it. Our sports figures don't have to live their lives like Sparky Anderson...but they can't be two-faced, narcissistic, a-holes! Only a jackaninny would blindly tolerate such conduct by these types of people. I'm just calling it as I see it. C'est la vie!

P.S. if this matter were truly about "Tiger the golfer" then why and the heck is he launching an effort to repair his image?

Because media threw the 1st salvo. They could have easily made it clear that this was a private matter and therefore let Tiger, His wife and their lawyers handle the situation. The media made their money to sell papers/magazines with HIS personal life....why can't he use the media to HIS advantage? What IS good for the goose....ah hell, you know the rest.;)
riffjim4069
The media made their money to sell papers/magazines with HIS personal life....
...except, HE sold HIS personal life to the highest bidders years ago...probably been paid over 1 billion dollars for this sacrifice over his career. Oh, and let's not forget that Tiger made money off the papers/magazines when he sold his carefully orchestrated "Happy Family Man" photos ...all the while his cocktail waitresses were washing his balls and making his putter stand on end. "Hiyooooo!"

Sorry, but I'm not buying the Tiger defense... ;)

He didn't offer the family man life.....magazines were desperate for anything that didn't involve Tiger on the golf course.....that storyline was old and boring with nothing new to add.....so he gave it to them. Eventhough he was popping waitresses likely tic-tacs, I am sure he still loved his wife....likely MANY MEN that cheat on their wives. Sorry to disappoint the haters, but he did not invent cheating on your wife....he did not do anything different that any egotistical multi-millionaire has not done in them past.

There is a big difference between actors and athletes. Most actors, those who open their pieholes about politics being the major exception, just act. They play a character. You watch the show and enjoy the character. Off stage they might be a drunk, a scientoligist, a cross-dresser, a Canadian, whatever. It really has nothing to do with what they do for a living. As long as they don't tell me who to vote for or what brand of corn flakes to buy, I could not care less about what they do off work time.

The modern athletes, expecially ones in individual sports, make their real money from endorcements. To his credit, Woods has rightly avoided politics, but he is featured daily telling people to buy Nike s**t, Buick crapmobiles, AT&T, etc, etc, etc. He puts his reputation on the line, and he thus if I, the customer who is always right, want to avoid Nike et al because of Woods, then that is my business. Further, if I am smart enough, and I and pretty much everybody with one exception, am that smart, to see that everything Woods has done since he got caught by his wife is a scripted skit and act, that is my business.

Woods is bad for golf, just as Ali was bad for boxing and McEnroe was for tennis. The frontrunners will (already have) move on to be "big fans" of the next thing, and leave golf standing around wondering where the old customer base went. The ones it squeezed out and forgot about.

Hey, I agree with this statement. :) But I don't generally like egotistical, narcissistic, multi-millionaire douchebags - it makes it extremely difficult to cheer for them on the golf course. ;) IMO, Tiger's unique combination of ego and sexaholism leads me to coin a new word...egotestical. :D

LOL!!! If that is the case, you won't be watching TV at all!

I share your opinion, but even if I didn't...you're still entitled to think and believe what you wish. Does this make you or me a "hater" for thinking this way? No, it just means we haven't seen nor heard one iota of genuine remorse from Team Tiger and his PR staff...and we're not buying his phoney-baloney story. Seriously, I'm a pretty self-centered/narcissistic type (i.e., a man ) but even I can can through Tiger's story as though it were the ghosts of Donna Reed and Montgomery Clift (sorry, I saw From Here to Eternity the other day). :o

I disagree...I though Jack, Muhammed, and Mac were good for the game. And I thought Tiger was a breath of fresh air for the game of golf...until he crapped all over the greens and stunk-up the place.

Sometimes a thread gets so many posts in it that is can cause issues for the server so that why today we introduce The Song Name Game Part 3!

So let the game continue!

The last song was added by Bobby who posted...

One Meat Ball - Andrews Sisters

CONTINUE ON AND HAVE FUN! WELCOME HOME TO SATELLITEGUYS.US!

Here are the original rules for the game as posted by WebbyDude back in 2006. http://www.satelliteguys.us/threads/68645-Song-Name-Game

Just name a song title and the band who performed it. The next person does the same thing, but needs to list a song title or band name which includes a word from the previous entry. Pick songs from any genre.

Example:

Long Live Rock and Roll -- Rainbow

Rainbow in the Dark -- Dio

Another example:

Ride the Lightning -- Metallica

Lightning Strikes -- Ozzy Osbourne

Get it?

An additional note: we all know that song titles, sometimes, use profane words. Because this is a family friendly website it is advised that you clean up that title up a bit. This is accomplished by using something like sh!t instead of the real word. Thanks....

I'm getting fabulous picture on Ch. 148 4k, but zero audio with H713. This is with a recorded show (Notre Dame game). Anyone else have this? Audio is fine on every other channel.

It's a known issue.
For a temporary fix, go into the menu, Audio, and turn Dolby Audio "OFF". You will have PCM stereo audio.

I was able to give the tech ops team some data logs so they could diagnose the problem, and they rolled me back to H708 temporarily. It fixed that issue.

They let me know that they understand what caused the issue, and it will be fixed within a few weeks in a new update.

I guess they will be busy when lots of people start asking for rollbacks to H708 now that you mention that downgrades of software does exist because it will likely fix the OTA Single Tuner and the IR Remote problems in H710-H713.

Stargate SG-1 cancelled, Atlantis renewed

The future of Stargate is in question today, as SCI FI Channel has cancelled the long-running Stargate SG-1, Multichannel News reported today and a GateWorld source has confirmed. The news regrettably follows the airing of the show's milestone two-hundredth episode on Friday.

Stargate Atlantis, meanwhile, has been renewed for a fourth season, with the network hoping to see that the spin-off series can stand alone, according to a source.

I have gotten back into watching SG-1 and I have recorded most of the episodes to binge watch. What episodes are about the Antarctic or was this a movie? Also where could I watch the SG-1 movies?

Well, there are a couple involving the Antarctic. "Solitudes", S1 E17 (one of my favorites), Then, "Lost City', S7 E21 and E22. Then, in the SGA pilot, "Rising", S1 E1 and E2, it starts out in the Antarctic for about the first 20 minutes or so.

Which one has O'Neil being Ancients? I am at the end of Season 8 now.

If I understand your question, O'Neill had the Ancient's knowledge in the "Lost City" two-part episode. That was when Anubis attacked Earth and there was a big battle over Antarctica.
