Hopper with Sling and older non Sling Hopper

Just got back from a friends home. She has a new Hopper with Sling built in....As i was going between 2 games, whats with the recall? You dont get a choice of what channel to watch next? It just goes back to the last?.. So If I wanted to flip back and forth to 3 or 4 games it takes 3 clicks?, That totaly sucks!

I like my older Hopper hit recall once and choose what channel you want!... How long has it been that way?

Its an optional setup choice: either the last two channels or a choice of the last four.

You enable or change the recall function in the menus.

Not everyone likes having to press the button more than once just to flip back to the last channel so you have the option to have it on or off which is smart by Dish. I myself love the feature for the same reason you mentioned, flipping between football games.

Change the set up how you want it in the Format Guide menu. Yellow - 2- 2 and then change the settings in the Multi-Channel Recall menu.

We had that in Chicago for about 9 months with CHSN, before Comcast came in and in order for them to carry the channel, the OTA signal had to be taken down.

Ride the Lightning -- Metallica

Lightning Strikes -- Ozzy Osbourne

Get it?

An additional note: we all know that song titles, sometimes, use profane words. Because this is a family friendly website it is advised that you clean up that title up a bit. This is accomplished by using something like sh!t instead of the real word. Thanks....

I subscribed to Peacock for 1 month because of Tour de France this month. First time subscribing to Peacock since they did away with the amazing Black Friday 1 year deals. What is different - I bought it through my YouTube Premium account, so I can watch all the Peacock through the YouTube app. This is the first time I have experienced this where you don't have to switch apps. For Paramount+ I need to switch to a different app. When I subscribed to CHSN or Marquee, I need to switch to their apps. And last time I subscribed to Peacock, I had to be in their app.

I am blown away that I can subscribe to Peacock on YouTube and watch all the content directly on YouTube.

Yep! Normal YouTube. Just like when I buy NFL Sunday Ticket. I don't have YouTube TV. My local NBC channlel, the live streaming channels, and all the movies/tv shows are all just on YouTube. Everything on Peacock now says "purchased" - previously it would say "buy" and I would have to buy all the shows individiually.

That Does make sense, when I get the ST on YTTV, they show up in the YTTV Guide, so I guess Peacock and others I presume, show up as well.

I did get another streaming app off the YTTV menu a long time ago, but don't remember if it showed on the YTTV guide or if I went to the App for the Streaming service.

I see Some of the Streaming options show up in the YTTV options to purchase, but not all.... (Major wise) Paramount Plus with Showtime is there and a few others as well.

Yes, the number of subscribers will continue to decrease over time but that is not the end of the world as some like to predict.

And, the business will make money during that time, perhaps not much, but it will be profitable.

The cheapest all plastic, no composite output $50 receiver they could make. Came out around 2004 just before they started leasing equipment. They weren't around long.
