I couldn't find a place to put anything about fighting an invasive species growing, and taking over your place, so i hope no one will get mad at me if i post my experience of fighting BAMBOO I PLANTED ABOUT 12 YEARS AGO if i posted it in the wrong area, I'm very sorry, and please tell me where to do it, if that's possible
It wasn't really growing much, it never really got bigger than an area the size of a large pickup truck, my neighbor in the back of me who has not let me cut the trees on the line ever since I tried, when i needed to see the satellites, had finally said you know Gary i was wrong all those years i shouldn't have stopped you from cutting those trees. He even wanted some money now out of me, damn it.
Well, he brought in a crew and cut about enough trees to make 50 cord of wood, then i decided, hey, I would like to have my garden grow again so i cut about 60 cords of trees from my place and i gave both his and mine away for free firewood
The next year my bamboo grew in an area the size of about 200 x 200 feet, it's even under my workshop, the roots broke off, still hoping to figure out to rip them out, I had to get a bobcat E50 that my buddy AL had come and rip it all out, its frozen in a pile but still alive, and i take it to the dump to be burned every few days got so much of it
A TON OF BABY SMALL ROOTS BROKE OFF, DOES ANY ONE HERE KNOW IF THEY WILL DIE FROM THE COLD OR IS THE PLANT FROM HELL GOING TO GROW BACK
There was a lady at my place who pushed our state of CT. to make planting of running bamboo illegal, she saw my bamboo, and i took some videos and she's been putting them on YouTube for anyone to see, so people would wake up and kill it before its takes over your place, it is trying to destroy my fancy stone wall, my house, my yard, I swear its not from the planet earth

Well, I still have H711 on my Hopper 3, but some reported receiving H712. Please feel free to continue discussing the IR remote issues with your Hopper 3 and whatever issues you are having with H712.

I am seeing that software version 711 downloaded this morning. I am seeing an indicator of how long I have paused a live show just to the right of the timeline near the bottom of the screen. I wonder if this is meant to fix the pause bug that other members have been discussing?

I called in today to activate a second hopper. i had the rep run the numbers they came back as clean not leased and no money owed on it. so i said activate it. and he turned around and said that dish no longer allows two hoppers on one acct.. you used to be able to one leased and one purchased!!! i call BS on that!!! since when is dish no longer allowing people to buy receivers from third party dealers aka solid signal. the rep said it would be a leased box. did i just deal with a complete idiot or has dish changed there policy? i am thinking i dealt with a complete idiot. the rep even said there going after people with more than one hopper and shutting them off.

I had to drop by Sam's the other day...hadn't been in that place in over a year. I took a look at the TV section to see what was new and they had a 98 inch model for sale....can't remember the brand or price as I just wanted to get what I came for and get out. The box was of course HUGE and I couldn't help but wonder just how big these things are going to get. Just getting one of those suckers home would be a chore, especially with these short bed pickups they are selling these days.

I haven't bought any AV component in a B&M store in over 20 years. I think the last thing was my 42" Grand Wega Rear Projection HDTV from Circuit City. At the end of last year when I got my 65" Bravia 8 II, I ordered online directly from Sony and had it delivered. I don't know if it could have fit in the back of my Expedition. The delivery guy parked his semi on the side of the road, got out, rolled up the back door, lowered the lift gate and came out with my TV on a dolly and wheeled it up the driveway. Easy peasy for me.
I personally would rather have better quality over larger size. I've seen people with 80"+ TVs that look like garbage and were like $1200. I know I'm paying the Sony tax, but I would rather pay $3000 for a higher end 55-65" Sony then $1500 for a 98" from someone else.

Some of you know about this, most do not. The entire coastline of OR and WA are ticking timebombs. Everyone felt this area was not prone to earthquakes....then one scientist decided to challenge that theory.

That's not true at all. We get earthquakes fairly frequently, and some of them do damage. This one woke me up when my headboard hit the wall:

When Brian Atwater challenged the notion that the Cascadia region was a "dead zone" he was totally ostracized from the seismic community. Why not read the book I referenced and learn rather than challenge someone who HAS read it. If what was stated in this book was pure bs, then Nick Zentner certainly wouldn't have recommended it AND referenced it.That's not true at all.
