The Roamio OTA, whose introduction comes about two months after a U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Aereo's platform violated broacasters' copyrights, is also compatible with the TiVo Stream, a Slingbox-like device that can stream live and recorded TV to smartphones and tablets in or out of the user's home, and the TiVo Mini IP set-top.
TiVo said it will sell the new model for $49.99, plus $14.99 per month for the service, in all major markets and in about half of all U.S. BestBuy stores in select markets starting in mid-September. By comparison, the entry-level, four-tuner TiVo Roamio, which does contain a CableCARD slot and is also compatible with an HD antenna, sells for $199.99 and is currently being touted online as TiVo's "best seller."
Although TiVo is selling the OTA model initially on a limited basis to see how it is received and to get a sense of how customers will go about receiving OTA TV signals, the company made a "sizable" production run on the model, an official said via email. But if everything goes smoothly, TiVo said it's open and ready to expand the availability of the new OTA product.

now folks are reporting you cant order them thru best buy right now and the Tivo site says "Date TBA"

What happens if you have multiples of the same network? I'm pulling in 49 channels at my house. I get at least 2 of each of the big 4 networks, CW, and PBS. Some of them are coming in from 3 cities.
I think if I set WMC to do the series recordings on any channel it will record the same episode of Shield from 3 different ABCs. Because of this I set my recordings for new episodes on any day or time slot but I lock the channel to the one I specify.
Over the past few weeks, I have had problems connecting to streaming services (Netflix, HBO et al). When I go to the TV's native Channels, I have no problem. The Dish internet troubleshooter shows I have a good internet connection. I'm wondering whether it's an issue with my internet provider or a problem with the Dish software on the Hopper Plus. Anyone else seeing this?

Lightning Strikes -- Ozzy Osbourne
Get it?
An additional note: we all know that song titles, sometimes, use profane words. Because this is a family friendly website it is advised that you clean up that title up a bit. This is accomplished by using something like sh!t instead of the real word. Thanks....

I know HipKat said that they were working on conversions but we got the official news yesterday right from Dish that starting next month all DMA's will be on the western arc, and all customers will be assigned to that. That's gonna mean a lot of customers around here aren't gonna get Dish unless there are exceptions. Too many mountains and trees.

It's dead, they just don't know it yet. They killed it by forcing DRM on it, and that TOTALLY botched implementing it.
There is absolutely NO compelling reason for anybody to switch to ATSC3.0. They only want it as a total and complete money grab.
