Hoping to get an answer before Monday.
I am brand new to FTA and installed my system today, a 90CM dish, Fortec FSIR-5400 receiver, SM3D22 motor, Invacom Quad Polar LNBF. Here's my issue for which I could find no answer in the manuals and paperwork provided. I set the Receiver positioner option to DiSEqC control and selected the 'Goto REF' option to center the motor. It WILL NOT CENTER no matter how many times I try. It will always stop about 10° off center to the west. I cannot find any reference to an option to calibrate this. So, I manually adjusted the dish to point to Anik E2 which is about .3° off due south from my location (Tucson, AZ) then manually fine tuned elevation and azimuth and successfully tuned in GOLTV from this satellite.
I can't find a reference to reset the motor in the manual so, my question is, is there a way to reset or calibrate the motor or should I just adjust the azimuth position of the motor mount on the pole to compensate for the 10° variation? I'm concerned that if I make the adjustment to compensate for this problem, that I will not be able to successfully tune in other satellites, especially those that are far to the east and west.
I suppose I could manually set them all but I'd rather let the receiver do that for me.

Offset between two LNBs on the dish can be set to 6º, or other numbers...
...or to 0º if your second LNB is on a fixed dish....
I've never read a review that mentioned this sort of advanced feature!

This must be for newer motors because mine (3 years old) doesn't have this feature.

I see Sadoun carries it on their web site.
What I read (elsewhere) said it had metal gears, so that's encouraging.
The weight loading it'll take is in the -medium- range, so it's great for 90-100cm dishes.
If it's a success , maybe they'll come out with a big brother.
Now I gotta look for a Primestar to strip down to fighting weight and put on one of these motors!
No reason a guy can't have two motorized dishes, is there?

I know HipKat said that they were working on conversions but we got the official news yesterday right from Dish that starting next month all DMA's will be on the western arc, and all customers will be assigned to that. That's gonna mean a lot of customers around here aren't gonna get Dish unless there are exceptions. Too many mountains and trees.

Squirrels have eaten my antenna wire on my home unit that is a car radio running of the 12 volt side of my solar system. I need a new antenna and would like to add something to one of my existing masts. The reason I am looking at this that I am also covered in trees which has not been a problem, but something mast mounted would future proof me. Thanks in advance.

I am a animal lover, but this year I gave up gardening. Even moved it to potted plants on the second story deck last year. Can't tell you how much use my Ruger 10-22 got, but it was a losing battle for me. Never got any food. So now they eat coax instead! 20 acres of dense woods behind me and my stuff tastes better, either veggies or wires!
