015 acquiring satellite signal -- 2800 model

I just got an Echostar 2800. Hooked it up to me DTV oval dish (one with two dual lnbs). First thing after I turned it on was to see the 015 "acquiring
satellite signal. Is the reciver broken? If so, what would i need to repair to obtain a signal.

Do you mean a D.500, Or are you use a DirecTV withe the dual LNB?

using a dtv sat dish that has two dual lnbs with 4x multiplexer

hooking 2800 receiver to it. worked great with a dtv receiver.

First DISH is not compatible with Directv switches so eliminate the 4X. You also need to reaim the satellite dish to look at DISH Networks satellite your Directv dish is pointing at a satellite located at 101 DISH uses satellites at 110 and 119.

got a dish 500 w/legacy lnb & a 2800 receiver

can't seem to get any signal

receiver works with my old dtv dish/lnb

am I overlooking something in setup of receiver??

any help appreciated
