1000.2 WA Dish Question

I just upgraded to a VIP 722K receiver and a 1000.2 WA dish. Dish came with a dual LNB so I purchased a new triple LNB 1000.2WA so I could get 110, 119 and 129.
Here's my problem/question. I can get 119 and 129 but no 110. Looking from the back of the dish, I cover the right side LNB and I lose 119. Cover the middle and lose 129. Seems pretty simple, need to move dish to the right and I will get all three. Do this and lose everything. I've tweaked the skew and azimuth and elevation. Am I doing something wrong or is 110 that tight and it take precision tuning? Thanks for any help!

I've tried covering both outsides and cannot get a signal. This was making very small moves and then slight elevation moves as well.

sodly is correct; you are (were) 10 degrees off (about the with of your fist at arms length) and depending on where you are in the country 1 or 2 "ticks" off on the elevation
Since the satellites are roughly separated by 10 degrees it it possible to hit 2 out of 3 with the third pointed off onto space.
I assume you are using the point dish screen and not a meter, if so then you may need to switch off of the sat. you are trying to point too and then back again so the receiver "switches" the lnb to the other (correct) orbit.
What does the switch test page show?

The test switch page indicates the following: 129° OK (1K.2) 119° OK (1K.2) and Conn X (1K.2) . Yes I am using the point screen to fine tune the signal. I'm located north of the Houston Texas area 77336. How do you switch off a sat?

sorry I guess I wasn't clear on that.
If your trying to get a reading from the 119, momentarily select 110 and then back to 119
What this does is send a signal to the lnb to "switch" to the 119 (just in case its "stuck" on the wrong sat).
re run the switch test when you think you got it pointed correctly

If you missing the 110 then you need to move the dish left (from behind) 10 degrees and up about 1 (from original position you had before)
do you have any trees that might come into play?

I'll give that a try again.
Originally had some tree limbs, although my previous dish worked fine. Decided it could be tree limbs so moved dish so there are no obstructions.

I've tinkered with this thing for a several hours now. I can get 119 to come in real good. Start slowly moving to the left (from behind) and lose signal. Tried angling dish up and down while moving to the left, no luck. Pole is 90° so that's not the problem. Guess it just may be that sensitive and I'm just missing the sweet spot. I'll keep trying.

Should I go by the coordinates the dish manual gives or the coordinates on the point dish screen? Manual says 215, 45, 124, dish point screen says 208, 48, 119. Also, move to the left not right? Aren't the satellites from west to east 110, 119, 129, at least that's what I found on a search.

is the Dish bent? Can you post a picture from you standing behind it pointing up into the sky and one from the direct side?

make sure the lmb bracket is assembled correctly there are two holes that the plastic piece slots into
I have seen that not lined up correctly before making it impossible to point the dish

The plastic LNB brace is in the holes on the arm. Here's a couple of pictures.

Not that I think it part of your problem pointing the dish but those leftover nuts and bolts go in the skew-plate ...its not critical but it firms it all up with 4 in there

Is the mast plumb and is the skew set properly and is it tight enough not to rock up and down when turning it right to left?

DVRexpander - Yes the mast is at 90°, learned my lesson on that years ago on my first install. Everything is tight with the exception of where the pole mounts to the mast. It is snug, not tight. Nothing really rocks when I move it. There is a little play but when I stop moving it it goes back to where it should be. About ready to give up!

Hudgreen - No left over parts. Every hole has a bolt and nut in it.

In eight years I have never had to tweak the Skew. Set it to the desired valve and leave it alone.

The numbers you get from a receiver are for a DPP 500 dish and are wrong for a DPP 1000.2. Trust the DPP 1000.2 manual or go to dishpointer.com, being ssssure to select the Multi-LNBF Dish 1000.2 (110W, 119W, 129W)

On the Switch Check screen, the satellites should be 119 - 110 - 129

If you are displaying 129 - 119 - X then the 119 LNBF is pointing at the 129 satellite and the 110 LNBF is pointing at satellite 119. Hence you need to switch the dish to the left.

Stay away from the foil business. You could be blocking the LNBF that is electronically attached to your meter. The recommendation to having the 119 LNBF being selected is key. Make sure the Check Screen is set to satellite 119 and a transponder 11 or greater. Since this is a dual tuner, make sure both tuners are set to satellite 119 and you can't be sure what tuner is connecting to what coax.

Trial and errors continue. Tried all of the above to no avail. Still looking. Thanks for the input!
Could a cable connector be the issue? I have about 50' of cable ran then connected anther 25' with a double female. Could this be a problem? Did not affect my previous receive though.
