1000.4 ea dish problem

I put a 1000.4 ea dish lnb on my 1000.2 dish and I can't get 61.5. I can only get 72 and 77. When I get 61.5 it is very weak.

And that's the way it's supposed to work. You could put a 1000.2 EA LNB on the dish and it would get 61.5 and 72 which is the common EA configuration now.

Am I suppose to replace something else on the dish than the lnb. I can't get 61.5 and 72 on the same dish. I can only get one

You said in the first post you were using a 1000.4 LNB on a 1000.2 dish, which won't work. You need to put a 1000.2 EA LNB on the 1000.2 dish.

What? I ordered a 1000.4 ea lnb and put it on the dish and it seemed to fit. I need to order a 1000.2 ea lnb?

It's pretty simple. A 1000.4 LNB goes on a 1000.4 dish and a 1000.2 LNB goes on a 1000.2 dish. There are EA and WA LNB's for both type dishes. You need to get the one that matches your dish.

You won't because the 1000.2 dish is not designed to receive that satellite. If you want 61.5, 72.7 and 77 you will need a 1000.4 dish.

The 1000.4 lnb's are larger than the 1000.2 lnb's.

Do you need 77? That satellite,besides some local channels,is for Spanish programing.

DISH is moving away from the 77 sat for most people's needs in the U.S. anyway. That is why they are installing the 1000.2 with just 2 lnbs now. Unless you need Latino programming your safe without 77 sat.

If you are in the Bluefield, WV, Louisville, KY, Cincinnati, OH or Lima, OH markets, you'll need 77 for your HD locals.
