For my zip code of 18064, my Super Buddy indicates that the skew for the DishNetwork 1000.4 eastern arc dish I'm installing should be 91.5.

However the manual for the dish says the skew should be 87.

Which skew setting should I use?

Thanks,

Bob

Your super buddy is giving you that info? Dude, if you have a super buddy don't listen to either one. Just adjust the skew for optimal signal while pointing. Best guess is that it'll be between 85 and 92.

A failing (one of the few) of the Super Buddy is that the zip code lookup only gives you azimuth for individual satellites (i.e. 61.5 or 72 or 77, etc.) instead of azimuth for the group of satellites. Dish Pointer is accurate.
