Hi guys, I need your help. I need to pick up sat 118.7. but I have a 9 ft Channel Master Dish so the LNBf sold by Dish does not work for me, so if anyone knows whcih type of LNBf do I need to buy I will be very pleased if you let me know.

Setup

119w
110w
61.5w
DP 44 sw

Regards
Alex

Can't you use the 118.75/119 lnb on the dish that receives 119 presently?

All you need to do is put the lnb at the focus of the dish.

Nope since I am using DP Dual Single Lnbfs for each sat, I have 3 dishes.

Since you are using dishpro lnbs on your other dishes, you need a dishpro lnb on the 118.7 also. 118.7 needs a special lnb since it is circular 11.7-12.2 MHZ as compared to the 12.2-12.7 MHZ on 110 and 119. I'd suggest you try the dish 500plus LNBF which incorporates both frequency ranges.

Your 1.8 M channelmaster indicates you are on the fringe. If you are on the northern side, one dish might be used to pick up both 118.7 and 119. If you are down south, you may need to use the third dish since the look angles spread out as you approach the equator and the lnb face may not cover the signal from both 118.7 and 119.

You will need to customize the mount since the channelmaster is designed for a barrel throat. If your other signal receptions are marginal, you may have signal strength problems on 118.7 since the 11.7-12.2 signals are transmitted at lower power levels.

The other option is to switch everthing to legacy lnbs and buy a circular 11.7-12.2 lnb with barrel throat for 118.7

well how about this

119w = 110 to 115 on signal strength
110w = 115 to 120 on signal strength

almost all transponders.

Thanks for the answers this is exactly what I needed to know.

Sincerely
Alex
