129 and rain?

Might try my 80cm fortec... just for kicks, but so far no freeze-ups etc with the Dish 500 ( no clouds or rain either ) I could have gotten a better sig with the 1000, but I want it for camping btw I tried my coolsat with the 1000 on 129 and it worked just fine with the dp lnb... over 90% quaility on Congrats you have a Dish 1000....

I was having a weak signal from 129 and put a (I think 30") Winegaurd dish and my signal now runs in the 80s and 90s. Works great. I live outside Louisville KY.

Sure, you can have 80 to 90 in a 22 minute period. Unfortunately, most also have a number in the 50s during that same period as the satellite wobbles around before more fuel is used to "bumper pool" the satellite back towards the box and then past the box again.
