Well, when you want the answer, ask an engineer. This will be a plus for those that would rather take the TV and receiver out to a dish instead of a meter. So I took that stuff out to the dish today and set it up and started looking for 125. Found nothing. Thought about a different sat. So I checked out 103. 103 popped in with a good quality. I noticed the elevation was about 2 degrees above where dish pointer said it should be. I changed it to two degrees above of what it should be for 125 and tried again. After a little wiggle there was a "blip" on the S9's meter. So I adjusted everything and now have 125 for PBS with a quality of 79-81! I used the XtremeII LNB on the Channel Master. One poster here stated the CM was real tight. REALLY. Just a VERY small adjustment and Q drops by 50%.
I removed the receiver and connected my meter to the LNB. Got the same 29-30 signal I received days ago. With that low of a quality, I could not lock on anything. So that is why I did not get any stations. The S9 shows 79-81Q and the meter only 29-30Q. One would think if it was an S-2 problem, the meter would not pick up anything. Beats me.
So Pixl's thought about the meter being the problem just may be the answer.

Thanks to all that took a shot at all the problems that could have been the reason for no signal.

Oh, my! A bad meter. I think I will go hide somewhere........:o

RT,

Good to hear that you got it going. I fried my brain cells to come up with that since everybody already suggested everything I would have thought of.

Was beginning to think "hidden tree branch" , lol. Glad you got it-I've had those little elevation variations mix me up also. The channel master dishes usually are very close.
