The only bad thing I have read is the light is bright. You can light up a room with the intensity of it. Have also read that it is quiet. Haven't read anything about the reliability. Try going to amazon and reading the reviews there. They have a lot more user responses then buy does. You can't beat buy though. Free shipping always shows up at my house 2 days after I order something.

The Seagates also have a bright light on them, yellow no less.
Strategically placed electrical tape works nicely.
