No compelling reason here for a HD-Absolute customer to upgrade his subscription.

I can't see that there will be a compelling reason to upgrade from HD Absolute to Turbo HD for a very long time. The cost difference (39.99 vs. 59.99) makes it unlikely to be cost effective any time soon.

We've Got ABC, NBC, CBS in HD. We need WPFO FOX23 in HD (Portland / Auburn Maine DMA. It went to digital on Feb 17th. Cmonn DISH lets get up there in HD, so we can say we've all of the 4 in HD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Indy locals were uplinked for one day. They are not there anymore. I also heard there is a dispute with Dispatch Broadcasting that will not allow WTHR to be available. This is the same situation with WBNS in Columbus, OH.

Indeed - you are not missing out on much of anything. And if someone was that concerned about what they were getting, they would have switched as soon as Turbo (Platinum or whatever) came out anyway.

I just want to call Dish and scream at the top of my lungs, "What the hell are you doing!?" They keep changing launch dates of national HD, continue pushing off the biggest HD local market they don't carry and providing excuse after excuse. Ciel 2 is alive and active, so we will see if Dish Network has some common sense when it comes to HD subscribers and gets on the ball. At the rate they are going, I will be HAPPY to pay the early termination fee for my contract. Comcast offers pretty crappy customer service in my area but at least every other statement out of their mouth isn't a lie.
