2 issues im having with hdd & homeplug

well i have 2 issues

1) i have a 500gb seagate hd hooked to my 712 dvr
but it will only work when i first plug it in...after that i have no access to it unless i unplug it (hd) and let it restart.

2) i have the homeplug ethernet box and it worked fine when the installer hooked it up but now i cant access the internet with any of my receivers?
it shows thats its connected in the menu.

1) What is the model number of the EHD, and have you tried unplugging the receiver and EHD from their power sources to reset them? Do you mean 722, or 612?

2) What menu are you checking for connection? Try to reset the network connection in the receiver menu, and also unplug the SlingLink to reset it. Make sure none of the receivers are connected to power strips or surge protectors as well.

all receivers are plugged into the wall.
