2 receivers 1 output LNB

Is it possible?I was thinking of running sat line to a 4x4 MS 18 V 22KHz then out to 2 receivers,instead of buying a dual lnb.I am pointing at 97'.

if you want channels on the same polarity, just use a high frequency splitter (rated to 2200MHz)

you can't. Need a dual LNB then because the LNB needs to switch polarities. This of course is on the assumption that both boxes are on the same time

Now if both channels were on same polarity (say like what most of G10 is) then the splitter works fine

A replacement dual LNBF is about the same price, or even less than a 4x4 switch. A dual LNBF will give you independant reception on both boxes.

A local store here has the DMSI JSC322 0.3 dBdual LNBF for $20.00, but a Zinwell 4x4 multi-switch is $28.99, so it is cheaper to just replace the LNBF itself. You will have to run a second coax line to your second receiver.

a 4x4 means 4 inputs, 4 outputs.

4inputs means 2 satellites, two inputs per satellite (one 13v one 18v, one for each polarity)

so a 4x4 although more expensive, wont help you.

The only single output LNBs that can distribute both polarities to multiple receivers are stacked LNBs such as those found on the Dish Network Superdish. While these allow great flexibility, they also introduce the complication of stacked frequencies, with the horizontal transponders added above the vertical ones.
