2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs

The Clippers briefly played some of their games in Anaheim.

Anaheim Clippers, L.A. Clippers- what's the difference?

They always stink- a skunk is still a skunk regardless of location.

Blue Jackets Snag 2 Trophies! Congrats to Mason & Nash!!

Steve Mason capped his outstanding rookie year by taking home the Calder Trophy for the league's top rookie. He beat out Anaheim’s Bobby Ryan and Chicago’s Kris Versteeg. Mason also finished as the runner-up for the Vezina Trophy for the league’s best goaltender, won by Boston’s Tim Thomas (and deservedly so).

Also at the award ceremony, Rick Nash took home the Foundation Award, given each year to recognize a player’s “commitment and service to charities in his community.”

Nash has donated time and money to local charities that fight poverty, pediatric cancer, and illiteracy, to name a few. He has also donated $100,000 to Ohio State to endow a student-athlete scholarship and was a founding donor of the John H. McConnell Scholarship Fund.

“Being a professional hockey player is a privilege and I am extremely fortunate, as it has afforded me many opportunities to give back,” Nash said in a statement released through the team.
Congrat's Boys! I'm proud of the both of you!
