How fair is it that the Jets have to play tonight- with the game probably getting over around midnight- and then have to travel all the way to Denver for a THURSDAY night game?!!

Another way to look at it: with all of today's games complete, there are three NFL games between tonight and Thursday- with the Jets playing in two of those games.

KC with the toughest test, then the Broncos with the stout Jet defense, and SD should be able to beat Chi.. should... Raiders certainly as you say have the easiest game and could very well extend there lead against all 3 other teams..

Heres hopeing Minn decides to play really really good and the jets decide to suck ;)

With what we saw with the Chargers this past week and Chicago the last several weeks, I'll take Da'Bears .

It could have been worse, they could have been playing tomorrow night & then Thursday.

All in the workings of the schedule makers ..... it gives them a built in excuse if they lose both games.

Chicago's next four games are against the AFC West. Da Bears will have a lot to say about who will win the AFC West. ;)

The Lions just suck today. Too many INTs and bad plays. Stafford is just throwing the ball all over the place.

They have absolutely no running game and have almost become 1 dimensional

The Bears are a very good team. They just manhandled the team that manhandled your Broncos.

Yep...thank GOD the Raiders play them at home...and I will be there...with the wife. The homestead will be a house divided...the wife is a HUGE Bears fan.

You know Bill I was thinking what the NFL should do, is go to 18 game season and eliminate the Thursday Package but put games on Saturday instead. I think it would be better to have games on Saturday, like the old days, instead of Thursday. Or just take the Thursday games and move them to Sunday.

With the exception of Thanksgiving Day & the season's opening night game right?

Doesn't the NFL still have Saturday games ?
AFTER the College season is over ?
I know they do in the playoffs.

Yes, you keep Thanksgiving Day games and the seasons opening night game. The opening night game I would keep because its successful although I was brought up on starting the season on a Sunday.

The Patriots are doing the Bills a big favor tonight.

Buffalo will be tied with the Jets for second, and their game Thanksgiving weekend, IMO, is a defacto Wild Card elimination game.

One problem: If the season ended right now, NEITHER the Bills or Jets would get in......Baltimore and Cincinnati would be the Wild Cards. You also have to keep your eye on the AFC South runner-up (Texans/Titans).
