2013 MLB Postseason

With Nolasco facing Garcia, you would expect another slug fest. Wouldn't it be funny if this one turned out to be a pitchers duel?

Wow!!! Grant Balfour and Victor Martinez coming unglued!! Personally, I hope V-Mart decks him!!

A's take a 2-1 series lead, and look to close out the Tigers tomorrow night.

Right now the schedule for tomorrow is:

A's-Tigers 5:00pm ET
Red Sox-Rays 8:30pm ET

However, if the Sox close out the Rays tonight, the A's-Tigers game will be moved to 7:00pm ET

If you do that, your game 1 starter would only get 3 days rest. However, your game 2 starter would get the full 4 days rest. I could actually see the Dodgers doing this, because their first two starters are vastly superior to their #3 and #4.
Example:

Game 1 (Thur)- Kershaw
Game 2 (Fri)- Greinke
Game 3 (Sun)- Ryu or Nolasco
Game 4 (Mon)- Kershaw (3 days rest)
Game 5 (Wed)- Greinke

Does Don Mattingly read SatelliteGuys? :)

Red Sox didn't score in the top if the 4th, but it was still a productive inning. Cobb threw a lot of pitches that inning, and is already up to 71 through 4 innings.

Ditto for Buchholz in the bottom of the 4th. Of course, it doesn't hurt when you're aided by a catwalk and then a speaker. Yeah okay Maddon, Fenway is quirky?
