2023-2024 NCAA Football Thread

I thought the Irish would have dropped further. It was an intense game even though it wasn’t high-scoring. A nail-biter to the last second.

I thought it was about right, could have actually been a few higher even ... they are the Top 1 loss team ... thats a big deal as long as they keep winning ..
As long as ND keeps winning it will also help Ohio State in the long run.
ND played well ... Buckeyes played well as well, win or loss shouldn't drop far ...

Fwiw, if Georgia loses a game, they don't drop very far, maybe a spot or two .... they haven't played no one yet ...

And I'll bet within that time frame they'll be a change in conference teams going and changing or shutting down.

So a Midwest Conference with teams flanking on both coasts, and Penn State. But only teams on one coast are actually competitive, the other two are becoming obsolete Cable/Sat TV bundle schools.

No one will play both Maryland and Rutgers Away in 2024. Only Illinois has to head west twice... and they have to go to Rutgers.

Texas A&M dug deep into their wallets and fired Jimbo Fisher, triggering a huge buyout clause.

Fisher will be owed $77,562,500, according to USA TODAY Sports' college football coaches salary database. Twenty-five percent of the total buyout is due to Fisher in a lump sum within 60 days of his termination. The remaining balance must then be paid in equal annual payments beginning 120 days after the date of termination, and continuing through the end of the contract (Dec. 31, 2031).

*edit* putting the SEC Short here as they just posted one about Jimbo being fired.

Rivalry week has finally arrived. All ready with my Georgia-Georgia Tech tickets.

Already had a few people ask if I had extras and told them they were low on the pecking order. :D
