I was flipping through channels and noticed that CBS is running Hollywood Squares in PT. Fascinated, I watched for a few minutes. Wow. Even cheesier than the original. Don't know how people can watch that. This, from the "Tiffany Network".

You would think that would be the case but people are now canceling their paid streaming services as well.

I canceled all mine yet still get netflix and Paramount + for free.

For whats being made they are not worth paying for anymore.

We will see more of this happening as more people figure this out.

Where are you seeing these numbers?

Netflix, Paramount+, Disney+, regular Hulu and even Peacock reported increases in subscribers with their recent quarterly report.

Even the new ESPN streaming service has gained 20 Million subscribers already.

The only ones to lose are the Live TV services, like Hulu Live/Fubo and Sling.

Hopefully The Hunting Party comes back as a mid-season replacement.
Rumored to be going to Netflix for the new season, much like how Lucifer and Longmire did.

Reruns of the show are doing extremely great on Netflix.

Network TV has killed itself.
Agreed. They've taken thematic programming to the point where entire prime-time blocks may not appeal to large groups of marketable viewers.

I'm glad to see Best Medicine back.

Placing shows like Ghosts and Matlock in the second season is a death blow to a network's Fall lineup. A pox on CBS!

It may also be notable that the hinted move towards an 8-10 pm prime-time block (so that affiliates could stuff in another hour of local news) seems to have faded away.

I am so sick of law dramas. The Rookie is riding a knife-edge here.

I would note that my scorn extends to premium services that have gone thematic (i.e., Starz, where a preponderance of its shows seem to be related to Black Mafia drama).

What happened to comedy? Much of what is left is embarrassing to watch.

Streaming Killed the Networks
The parent companies of the Networks own the streaming services, so they helped to destroy themselves.

Personally, I am enjoying this new world of TV, even being retired, there is so much content on, cannot catch up.

So much better then scrolling up and down the channel guide, trying to find something new to watch, which is much worse today.
