what would be the easiest way to control a 211k from a second room. I plan on running a component cable from a bedroom to an adjoining seldom used bedroom and would like to be able to control the 211 from both rooms.

It doesn't look like they're on mydish.com, but agents can order them.

I am known as a Dish Defender, but in this case I can't. Solid Signal and even Amazon will sell them if you don't "avail the SALE". Anyway, you might want to "send" this up the chain.

I think it's another situation where someone may order this without need since a lot of our receivers don't require this to use a UHF remote. I'll forward the feedback though.

Called dish and was told they don't sell the kit. Was told to go to my local dealer.

DIRT can help you with this. I got mine through them. They shipped to my door and I had the kit in two days. $10 is a very good price.
