Thanks okay, I was on the phone telling a friend of mine in California about all those new HD channels on DirecTV. She was wondering how many HD channels did she have before the new HD channels started. I told her I don't remember but I'll try to find out buy posting on here.

Depends on if she had Local HD channels from D*, I did and had 14 total before the 27 additional. So technically I have 41 not counting NFL,NHL, etc.

counting my local HD, which i get OTA, i could flip through 13 different channels before. Now i have 45. I am counting the NATIONAL RSN's(not counting my regionals even though they show a game or two in HD) since they are on 24/7 in HD.
