I would like to know if Directv's VOD is up and running yet. If not when can we expect it to be operational. I know that the HR20 has to be hooked up via an ethernet cable. But can it be hooked up to an ethernet device that plugs into the electrical outlet? Thanks

The DirecTV Video Request (DirecTV on Demand) product is currently in their beta (CE) testing process. I would guess it's getting close to release.
Any internet connection will work, the faster the better.

I can confirm that VOD is running on the latest CE release. From everything I've read, the CE should go National fairly soon.
