Will Dish still activate a 2700 or have they let that one die? I got one free but there is no card in it. Hehe, maybe add it to the bathroom.

My sister's 2700 is still active on her account. With the right smart card, you should be good to go.

yep as long as there is a purple card in it you should be able to activate it just fine

The lack of a card may mean there is a balance due and someone thought they could hide it by removing the card. DISH also can tell you if they will send a free G3 card or charge you for it, so as I originally posted call DISH.

they will want to charge you $50 for the card plus shipping, however you try get it free

Add the DHPP warranty to the account to get the card free then drop it once you get it. It is rediculous that they are even trying to charge for the cards.
