i was wondering if its normal to wait 3 days for a tech to come out and fix my issue; my issue is that my dish has lost the signal, no obstructions no bad weather. i think its a bit ridiculous to wait so long is there any other way to get faster service?

2 - 7 days average depending on time of year and your location.

Start of college / university, movember - february tend to be the busy times of the year, late winter to mid summer tend to be the slowest times of the year and you could see a next day service call during that time.

Checked manual for possible fixes? See below
Have you done a hard reset?
Checked all connections?
Unpugged it and waited 15 minutes then try a restart?
Searched this site for possible fixes?
Visually inspected the dish?

seems about right. Heck it wasn't until this year that cable in my area started next day service calls (even then it's rare and usually takes 3 or 4 days)
