311 frezzing up

Hello I have a 311 recv. And it seems to frezze up when I try to set a timer reminder on it. It doesn't do it all the time. But when it does I have to shut the box off and reset it. I also have noticed that even with shuting the box of almost every night the guide still has to to take time to load. Any ideas would be helpful. Thank you

Usually problems loading the guide suggest a weak satellite signal. Have you checked your signal strength?
