3D TV Homes set to Rocket

True, mike but the point I think Don was making is that the increase rate is going hyperbolic not just increasing.

At NAB I got a different perspective on the whole 3D - 4K -8K, "do we need it" debate. The industry sees it like 3D is just another way to show the content and should be optional as selecting it on their screen. 4K will become the standard resolution for all TV displays larger than 55" 8K will be developed for the theater and very large screens, mostly 16 ft and larger. It's not that 3D is done and now were pushing 4K. 3D is as far as they can go with it for now and it's time to improve the resolution and color depth ( OLED) and then 3D will be a part of that. There will continue to be 3D specific developments in passive projectors and glasses free concepts.

Currently, I want to do ALL my projects in 3D and then decide in post how the work will be seen. Other than my cell phone and Pivothead glasses, today, all my cameras are 3D capable in one way or another.

Is that number based on how many will be made or actually bought?
