4DTV commercial ad content

At what level is the commercial content added or edited on the 4DTV channels?

I have noticed lately the obvious inserted commercial over top of another. Sometimes the timing is a little off and a split second of another commercial can be seen. The content more resembles the ads on the Equity channels vs. the national ads on network TV now.

I did switch providers a few months ago from NPS to SRL but I was unaware the 4DTV providers could insert their own content. I realize that cable does this with local ads and the small dish companies have been doing it for years.

The distribution feeds are untouched, I am not sure about the HITS feeds.

Comcast puts there own commercials on the HITS feed's. They can start late or end early. Remember one of the main purposes of the HITS feeds is for cable headends.

Starchoice does that too and usually the commercials start a second after the "normal" ones
