That'd be nice.
I evaluated the possibility of going 4D a year or so back, and loved the prices.
So, I made my own list:
1. no high quality video output? - hahahahahah
2. no HD - (and not lookin' good for the future)
3. no PVR <--- the deal breaker

In general I agree, but when I had 4DTV I purchased an R5000 mod and used it with SageTV. So you can have a PVR and the absolute best quality output (it's a direct stream capture), but the solution isn't for everyone. Ultimately, the lack of HD pushed me over to the dark side (Dish Network). I transferred my R5000 over to a Dish receiver and got an HD only programming package.
