Well if you're like me and you record this channel overnight for all the new programming they air daily then you'll need to keep this in mind. On the morning of July 7th your recording will be disrupted.

They will remain on Intelsat 21 (58W) but at 2:53 AM Central Time they are changing from their current parameters:
4166 H 19910
DVB-S2 QPSK
1/2 FEC

To these new ones:
4160 H 30000
DVB-S2 8PSK
5/6 FEC

That's going to provide this transponder with a lot more bandwidth capability. Could they be preparing to share their transponder with other channels (most likely)? Or perhaps making way for an NHK World 4K feed (I doubt we will ever be so lucky 😢)? 🙏

Yes and no. In Japan, there has been an NHK 4K broadcast satellite channel along with a few other network 4K channels available there via 110E using just a 45 cm dish for years. Although a user must procure a smartcard for your TV equipped with satellite capability and pay a subscription fee for the smartcard to view the channels, the transmission itself isn't encrypted. Maybe NHK will put this channel on 58W!?

But I just read that the private 4K satellite channels are history. They are in the process of transferring over to IP.

NHK World is also available FTA from 169E Intelsat 19 so its parameters will likely change too. Somebody on the west coast of North America with really low visibility to the west and a good large C-band dish might be able to receive that. I received it using just a 1-metre dish when in Japan.

it's quite a change, from requiring only 1dB CNR to 9.5dB!
might become impossible for those doing C-band with small dishes

They even have it listed on their TV guide now and will just not air anything for that ten minute window. How nice.
