I have a big dish, 4DTV RX, plan to get an MPEG2 RX and would like to view HDTV. The HDD200 is available for the 4DTV MMAP output($400), then I would need a 2nd converter for off-air($300), and perhaps a third one for any MPEG2/FTA HD signals. Is there a combo unit? Does anyone know where the formats of the various signals are described? Can one feed the MMAP into something other than the HDD200? It's not only a matter of money, but also of shelf space and remotes.
Thanks,

Don

The MMAP can only be fed into a HDD200/201.

There are combined MPEG/OTA receivers. Here is one.

You might want to visit the MPEG section at Satforums to learn more.
