I'm leaning on the "update home" option since I see new features in the 2019/2020 Denons that weren't available when I got my AVR-X3400H a few years back. Not worried about Alexa support, but HDMI 2.3 and up to 8K support in the new ones. I'm not planning on upgrading from my 4K OLED anytime soon, but there are also newer audio surround formats that the 3400 doesn't have.
