On my Hughes HTL_HD, I have a setting called "DVI Level" with the options standard or expand. The manual doesn't say much about it. Anyone know what it's for?

PC levels are 0 to 255

Video levels should be 16 to 235 I believe, DVI was originally developed for PC monitors so PC driver drive 0 to 255. Video needs below black so headroom is 0 to 16 and whiter than white is 235 to 255. A lot of confusion exist between the HDTV's and boxes so se what your TV needs.
